Cadillac has unveiled the 2026 VISTIQ, a three-row electric SUV that bridges the gap between the midsize Lyriq and the full-size Escalade IQ in its EV lineup. Positioned as a “baby Escalade,” the VISTIQ is close in size to an XT6 and hits the same market.

Cadillac VISTIQ: Performance and Range
The VISTIQ brings serious power under the hood, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system putting out 615 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Cadillac claims it’ll hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is impressive for a three-row SUV and certainly puts it among the faster electric SUVs of its size. On paper, that makes it almost as quick as some sports sedans but with a lot more room.
Where Cadillac plays it a bit differently with the Vistiq is in its approach to range and battery tech. Instead of hyping the “Ultium” branding they once used on EVs, Cadillac is quietly highlighting the chemistry—Lithium-ion NCMA cathode, blended graphite anode—that keeps the Vistiq powered for an estimated 300 miles on a full charge. That’s respectable, especially compared to the HUMMER EV we’re long-term testing, which sports a battery nearly double the size yet manages just 75 more miles of range. VISTIQ’s efficiency shows GM is tuning each EV to meet the specific needs of its size and purpose, and here, the balance seems to work well.
The VISTIQ is equipped with available fast-charging capability and GM Energy’s Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) technology, which allows the SUV to power a home during an outage. For families living in areas where outages are a concern like myself, the V2H option turns the Vistiq into a backup generator, giving it a utility that goes beyond the drive.
Cadillac VISTIQ: Design and Interior
The VISTIQ borrows Cadillac’s latest EV design language but adds its own style touches that give it a unique identity between the Lyriq and Escalade IQ. The SUV has Cadillac’s illuminated Black Crystal Shield grille and a clean, swept-back design that looks modern without sacrificing Cadillac’s luxury DNA. Vertical lighting, an illuminated pinstripe grille, and a clean roofline make the Vistiq feel both sophisticated and accessible.
Inside, Cadillac has worked to bring luxury to every row, including thoughtful touches that are often only found in the first or second rows. The third row here isn’t an afterthought, with features like padded armrests, smartphone storage, USB charging ports, and cupholders that make it a comfortable place for long trips. Interior materials include carbon fiber and open-pore wood trim, along with accents made from recycled materials that nod toward Cadillac’s move into more sustainable design choices. This mix of premium and eco-conscious materials shows Cadillac is paying attention to the details, even in places where few might expect it.
Cadillac VISTIQ: Technology and Features
Cadillac has outfitted the VISTIQ with a substantial technology suite that keeps drivers and passengers connected, comfortable, and safe. Up front, there’s a 33-inch diagonal LED screen that spans much of the dashboard, giving a panoramic display for everything from navigation to entertainment. The AKG 23-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos provides three-dimensional sound, elevating the audio experience beyond what you typically find in SUVs—even in this price range.
Safety tech is generous here, too, with standard features like Blind Zone Steering Assist, Side Bicyclist Alert, and Forward Collision Alert. An available Night Vision option uses infrared sensors to detect pedestrians and animals on dark roads, a feature that’s become more common in luxury vehicles and adds an extra level of safety during night driving.
Cadillac VISTIQ: Comfort and Space: Thoughtful Design for Long-Haul Family Travel
Cadillac seems to have built the VISTIQ with families and comfort in mind. The third row is designed to feel more like a premium space than the often utilitarian approach seen in many SUVs. Padded armrests, cupholders, and USB charging ports cater to passengers of all ages, while the expansive cargo area offers configurable seating and storage for busy lifestyles.
Beyond the interior space, the VISTIQ is equipped with features that add to ride comfort, including standard chassis damping control and an available Air Ride Adaptive suspension system. These elements, combined with the optional Active Rear Steer, make the Vistiq feel more agile than its size suggests, giving drivers a much easier time navigating tighter roads, intersections or parking lots. The Active Rear Steer tightens up the turning radius, helping this sizable SUV feel a bit more manageable than the turning radius of a small car at only 38-feet. Rear wheel steering is a feature we’ve grown to love on our HUMMER EV and seeing it as an option on the Vistiq is exciting.
Cadillac VISTIQ: Trims, Pricing and Availability
When it arrives in dealer showrooms in 2025, the VISTIQ will start at $78,790, placing it between Cadillac’s other electric SUVs in terms of pricing. The VISTIQ will initially be available in three trims—Luxury, Sport, and Premium Luxury—each offering distinct features and styling cues for different tastes. A higher-end Platinum trim, expected in summer 2025, will introduce additional performance options and color choices for those seeking an extra level of customization.
