Teased very early in 2020, the refreshed Terrain AT4 never made it to production as a 2021 model year vehicle. With uncertain times becoming more clear, GMC is giving us fresh details on the Terrain AT4 along with the rest of the refreshed 2022 Terrain lineup.
All-New Terrain AT4
For 2022, The Terrain AT4 joins the GMC lineup. Slotted in above the SLT trim but below the Denali, AT4 offers a more off-road focused look. The model will also feature a trim exclusive front skid plate for more off-road protection.
Terrain AT4 will also seemingly come standard with the only engine option available in Terrain for 2022. The 1.5L I4 engine producing 170-horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. No word on if the higher-horsepower 2.0L engine will make an appearance for 2022.
2022 GMC Terrain Denali
The Terrain Denali is also part of the refreshed Terrain for 2022. While details on any Denali-specific upgrades are space, GMC has released this photo of what the 2022 Terrain Denali will look like.
2022 GMC Terrain Enhancements
The entire lineup of GMC Terrain will gain new features for 2022. That includes a mildly refreshed interior, a new auto-stop start disable button and six safety features that will now be standard.
GMC’s “Standard Pro Safety” Suite includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam automatic high beams.
