Help with 82 GMC RPO codes

Hey all, we Recently had a 82 GMC SWB handed down to me and my Son. We will be restoring it for my Sons first truck. I'm currently trying to get list together of things to repair and replace. My question for y'all is the truck has been repainted in the past and I'm trying to decode the paint combo from the RPO codes. I know the truck was originally a Deluxe 2 tone but I'm not sure of the colors and locations on the colors on the truck. I believe it was Blue and silver. Any help would be much appreciated. Drop the "1" from each of those codes there and those are the RPO codes.

 

A28 - Window, sliding glass rear window

 

A01 - Window, tinted glass (all windows)

 

B3W - Some sort of price code?

 

CC4 - Wiper system, windshield pulse

 

C60 - Air conditioner, front

 

D45 - Mirror, outside below eyeline (stainless steel)

Was a value option package of sorts.

 

ZY4 deluxe two tone paint (not color specific, with contrasting color on the roof and lower bodyside)
V22 deluxe front appearance package (i.e. chrome grille/quad headlamps)
TT5 halogen high beam headlamps

A01 tinted glass
ZQ2 Operating convenience package (i.e. power windows/locks)
U58 AM/FM stereo radio (w/an upgrade allowed)

As far as the paint. Your tag shows 17L then says "17 silver metallic 29 mi." If the 29 is part of the color combo description, then 29 in 1982 (http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?manuf=GM&con=m&year=1982&rows=50) shows as Dark Blue/Twilight Blue WA7103.

Awesome thanks for the help! So is it safe to say silver roof, center body line and blue on top and bottom of the body line? Or something else?

If I remember correctly, the L in the 17L notates the lower color.

 

Going by the brochure http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/brochuredisplay.cgi?year=1982&manuf=GM&model=GMC&smod=Pickup&type=manuf&page=12&scan=12 and by the RPO ZY4 on that truck, it shows as the "Deluxe two tone" which is the 2nd row left in that brochure so the top blue and bottom silver?

Page 59 has color combo charts. They show under Medium Blue, primary color 23, and secondary colors can be 23, 12 frost white and 17 silver. So now, I'm not so sure on the 29 blue above I mentioned...I wish that brochure had the color charts...

Thanks so much That's a bunch of great info and going buy the brochure in the first link I believe you may be right on the location of the colors, but it also has the Hood ornament on it so I wonder if it may have the Exterior package on it also.

 

As far as the vehicle kit link, do you think maybe the GMC would have different color combos versus the Chevy?

I removed the Bed liner and it looks to be all dark blue in the bed
