Hood Scoop/Ram Air ID?

Not my truck, just saw it in local parking lot. Anybody know what hood/scoop that is and if it's functional? Truck had some Black Ops decals on it.

looks clean!.. i had one of those on an old gmc i had.. it was functional .... the tunnel dumped right over the open airfilter i was running.

Yeah, guy has put some work into his truck for sure and I like the way that hood looks. I did some searching but couldn't find any info on it though, Didn't want to sit outside waiting for him to show up but If I run into him I can ask. Just figured somebody here might have some insight.

No matter how much work that guy done to his truck it was all made a joke with those stick on Auto Zone/ Ford Focus fake fender vents. Some people just can't seem to pass up "that" isle at the parts store. But... hey, if it floats someone's boat.....? You don't have to put EVERYTHING on your truck that is applied with double sided tape. Just saying'

I saw some fiberglass hoods with scoop but I hate the idea of getting rid of my aluminum hood for a heavy fiberglass one. I searched and found it pretty easy a while back on google.

 

Also, pretty sure that is a stick on hood scoop.

I don't think those are stick ons. Look how deep they are, and how well it fits the body. Send me the link to those if you could.

It sure looks like a add on scoop. They wouldn't make a one off hood for one truck. You can all read it says "painted" function hood scoop.

It just looks like a stick on scoop. My guess is no. Rksport hoods have functional scoops, as do the 17 HD's.

Yeah not a stick on but yet still stupid. The problem with all these aftermarket parts and special additions is the lack of personality. Almost every truck in my city is lifted to some degree, most are huge, all with stick on fender flares and fake bead lock wheels, they all have LED light bars and rigid fogs in the rear bumper. It's a wonder some of these people don't get mixed up in parking lots and go to the wrong truck. I personally think that hood is hideous. The GMC HD hood is sexy. I wish chevy had one that looked that good.
