Early GMT 800 Truck HD Front Conversion

Allot of you (including myself) own 1999 thru 2002 Chevy and sporting the LT style front bumper/grille/hood combo.
- History and notes-
During those years of 1999 thru to 2000 there was allot of OBS and NBS 400 - 800 trucks produced that created allot of confusion as to which parts fit which truck. Some, specific models (and others are free to chime in here also which ones specifically) I believe the HD model, and a few 6.2 Diesels, a few 8100 gas models stayed as a 400 chassis model, but had a 99 thru 2000 mfg date. It wasn't until 2001 that GM managed to work thru ALL Chevy numbered model variants upgrading to the NBS featured in the 1999 redesign. When it was all said and done there existed 6 differences within the GMT800 frame registry.
The GMT800 (1500's), 805 (avalanche), 806 (escalade ext) the 820 (yukon/tahoe) 830 (suburban yukon XL) and the GMT880 (HD's 2500's 3500's)
Now to be clear (I believe it was Magna) the 99 NBS 800 used a 'modular' frame strategy. Instead of molding single frame rails from rolled stock, the frames were made in sections, then arranged to facilitate whatever vehicle was going to be built on them. (be it short SUV, long SUV, Reg Cab Shortbox, Reg cab long box.. etc) More here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GMT800
- More notes -
This thread is specifically dedicated to those of you who have a GMT 800, or 820, 830 or non HD880 type but looking for specific details to do a front end conversion to the 2001 2002 HD front end. I hope to provide all of the info for such a conversion. What changes, what you can use. Where to find parts etc.
I wandered down to my local GM dealership and had a chat with a service tech about getting some print offs detailing the different front ends. Its nice when one collects authentic GM isometrics. Without further delay.. here they are:

I did not include the hood ISO. OR the frame ISO Simply because with 4 bolts one can remove a LT hood, and place in its place a HD hood, and it latches to the rad support like it belongs there. And the FRAME ISO.. the HD and the LT share the same metal bumper. Its only the plastic upper cover that changes and the addition of a set of under-braces that fix to the bumper by indexing in the punched holes that exist in the bumper.
I will refer to the different printouts as: TC07-607 - LT front clip and TC07-656 - HD front clip here on to try and keep things linear.
If there exists any mistakes in this, please notify me of them and I can input the corrections if any occur.
The only other advice is to check check check your part numbers. There were a total of 11 different fillers (Filler Front End Bumper) made for the GM's in these years and the wrong part wont fit. Nobody on EBAY seems to be aware of this and its very easy to purchase the WRONG parts. These kinds of details I've worked very very hard to ensure that the part numbers on here are the RIGHT ones.
- The Hardware -
First off I would like to suggest that the best idea is to find a 01, 02 HD Chevy to pull the parts from it. As buying QAP does not include all the bits and clips to put it together. Those would be extra. To keep it simple and straight forward, you won't need the metal bumper. Just the cover piece.
The hardware for a complete conversion is: Hood, bumper filler / bumper cap, 2 under supports for the bumper filler / bumper cap, grille, emblem , and the front bumper filler pieces (2 of them) that go behind the turn indicators.
- Hood -

- TC07-656 Item # 11 -
I have no idea where to find this part, its not listed with any dealers and as far as I know there is no one that builds this component aftermarket. If anyone DOES know where I can find an aftermarket company that does sell these things, let me know and I will post it.
- Filler, front end bumper ALL- (TC07-656 Item RH 4, LH 4, 3, 5, 20)
Ebay doesnt have em.
