What tire should I get? Toyo AT2 or Toyo RT

Was on the fence about selling my truck for a 2500, but deal fell through over the weekend so I'm going to hold onto this for a while longer. Tire size is going to be 33x12.5r20 in the RT or 305/55/20 in AT2. What have you guys run or heard of between the two. I think both really look great and should wear great, just trying to get some feedback before I order a set.

If you are stuck on that size I would go with the RT's. I personally like the look better, and they are 7lbs a tire lighter than the AT2's for a more aggressive tread. If you are interested in saving weight I would go with the 295-55-20 at2 coming in at 60lbs, but for the added aggressiveness I would definitely go with the RT.

 

305-55-20 AT2: 74lbs

 

305-55-20 RT: 67lbs

 

295-55-20 AT2: 60lbs

Well putting more thought into this, if I went AT2 I'd probably have to go 295/55 so I'm not rubbing all over the place. Thats news to me as well. I guess I just figured the AT's would be lighter than the RT's.

 

For what it's worth, I drive mostly highway so I really like the tread life warranty on both tires.

I have the AT2s and I really like them. Besides the weight that has been touched on, they ride well on the highway for a more aggressive tire. I haven't had them in the mud yet but they served me well during the winter. I've only put around 5000 miles on mine but so far I like them.

I went with the AT2 in 295/55/20. Still have some rub at full lock, but the 305's would've rubbed like crazy. Very happy with the turnout.
