Pics of trucks w/ front diffuser/splitter removed?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone post some pics of their truck w/ the front air dam/diffuser thing removed? I was thinking of doing this once I get the bilstein 5100s on, think it will "accentuate" the slight lift.

I know this has been discussed before, but expecting about a 1/2 mpg drop overall, sound about right?

I think you will only see a dip in mileage if you do a lot of highway driving. Otherwise, it is probably negligable.

And here is a thread that shows some pics and other members accounts.

I just ran through my first tank of gas with the air dam off mine doing mainly 55 mph 4 lane roads with no difference in gas mileage. If you do a lot of 70mph + driving then you will probably see a 1 mpg drop. Leveling it will also decrease mpg another .5 to 1 mpg on the interstate.

Love the stance of this truck. how about some details Lift? Level? Offset? Tire Size?

2.5 inch Rough Country Level (front only)

305x55xr20 Nitto Trail Grapplers

Stock wheels (idk the offset)

2 inch wheel spacers

Well I haven't had any problems with them. They're actually getting taken off right now so I can put some 35s on in a month or so

To me, wheel spacers seem dangerous. They make wheel bearings wear out faster, and are prone to failure in general. To each his own.
