Holy shit 5% LOL.

When I first got my CTS-V, it had 5% all around (sans windscreen). I couldn't see the OSRV mirrors at night, so the fronts were replaced by 15% film.

only tinted mine 35% because I've had a officer force me to peel of window tint before and I just won't ever allow that to happen again.

Got 20% in the fronts to match the rest of the windows! I would of got darker but I can't see at night lol.

How hard is it to apply tint to these windows? Thinking about giving it a try.

I only did the front to get close to matching the rear and I had it done at a shop, didn't try doing it myself.

All the side windows, including the back equal 5%.

Then the entire front window(not and eyebrow) equals 15%

Just check on your state's regulations around tint...most states in the U.S. Have them...in Texas, I was told we can do 30 on the front doors, clear on windshield and anything you want in the back without any issues. My tint shop showed me a copy of the regulation. I did 30 on the front doors and clear I the back because I think it is dark enough in the back but I wanted the heat deflection properties of the tint film.

that is just nutty. do you never drive in the country at night? i've had limo multiple times before on all windows but windshield. never ran 15 on my windshield. that is dark. i bet it is nice in the middle of a summer day. cops have got to screw with you. it is just too obvious.
