Looking for photos or video, even an accurate exploded view of the front brake rotor assembly. All the front rotors I have looked up for my 1999 GMC K2500, 3/4T pickup 5.7, 4x4, 8 lug look different than what appears on the truck. See attached.

This was/is the current gen sierra for 99. Give me your thoughts on this. Thanks

If your '99 is a GMT400 and looks like my '95 Burb you'll have rotors that look like the bottom pic..

Here's a pic of mine...

Not sure about the GMT800s.Why not take a wheel off and look to see what you have?

Thats what I have. Can you see the attached photo of my rotor in my first post? Looks just like yours. I would like to find a schematic or exploded view of an assembly. Thanks

Nice schematic. The rotor will not come off the way the expanded view shows. There are no threaded holes to use the rotor as a torque plate to press the rotor out away from the hub. I just do not see any parting line that would suggest that the rotor will disassemble like that.

Take a look at this thread on a website I dug up. http://www.truckmodc...read.php?t=1351

Looks as if on 8 lug trucks, you remove the hub, and it looks like the rotor doesn't come off from the front side, but slides down and away from the hub, so, the hat of the rotor sits on the back of the hub mounting surface? Almost looks like the wheel studs are what hold the rotor on? That big hole on the rotor hat is so it can go on from the back of the hub it looks like as well.

Definitely not like GMT-800 and up brakes (real easy...rotor goes on the hub face not backside, and is only held on by a screw from the factory.) This almost is like a captured rotor design of sorts.
