295/65/18 Goodyear Duratracs... With Pictures!

Ok, so I was sick of the stock Bridgestones the day I pulled my truck off the lot. I wanted a more aggressive tire on my truck. So I did a little research, and was disappointed with the lack of sizes for the 18" rim, until I came across Goodyear's new Duratrac in a 295/65/18. Now I've heard both good and bad things about Goodyears tires recently. But the BFG km2 and atko were really lacking the size I wanted, the 285 is too short in a 285 in my opinion.

So I made a few calls and found some Duratracs in town, and went and picked em up for a cool 850$. The guy had them less than a thousand miles and was going back to street tires. So I was more than enthused to take them off his hands, considering this tire and size is on national backorder according to my local suppliers. The awesome thing is when I was mounting them up yesterday afternoon, the owner of the dealership I work for gave me 600$ for my bridgestones to put on a toyota. So I'm only 250$ into these tires, and couldn't be more happy.

Now I've only had them on for a day, but its raining here. They handle and ride great! There is a SLIGHT hum from the tires, hardly noticeable at all if the radio is on. These things are aggressive looking too! They really are sharp in person.

Now, for the fitament details. I have a 2.5" leveling kit off ebay, which I can recommend, its good quality. The front is SLIGHTLY higher than the rear, by about a quarter inch. I'm going to give it a week to settle and if its still noticeable to me, I'll get a inch block for the back. These tires are a TRUE measured 33" tire, and with the leveling kit and ZERO trimming the tires fit, no scrub. But I haven't took it offroad yet.

So before I talk you guys out of your chairs, heres some pictures. sorry my truck is dirty, shes due some TLC when this rain gets out of here.

Not a goodyear guy (not that that matters) but the more aggressive tires look good. Those stock wheels are hurting you though. Add the rear block to atleast get you level and swap out the wheels and you'll be GTG (good to go). Love the color and painted front.

Talk about a SCORE! They look great too!

Looks good but just from the pics it seems like its going to definately rub if you get in off camber situations..

I agree the truck looks great! However, I feel sorry for your fenders if you start articulating the suspension! It looks pretty tight just sitting on level pavement in the front off the tire to the fender lip on the passenger side.
