Even though we get tons of snow here in Cleveland and rear defrost is used quit a bit during the winter. Sliding rear window is one option I miss on this truck. Saw the new Ford Raptor at the Auto Show and it had Sliding Rear Window with Rear Defrost

never needed a defroster in my 2000 so I went with a slider in my 2010. Still havent needed the rear defrost. Go with the slider

It is really humid here in Florida, so I like having the rear defroster to remove the moisture and fog in the morning, if I have to park the truck outside overnight.

Ya I hear that, but if you get a limo rear window tint like mine you do not bother looking out the rear window too much and at night have to open slider to see at all...like the slider and will get a hole in the roof too on my next one...

When I bought my truck (LT) it came with the rear defroster, which I have never used. I did not think it would matter, but thought I could swat it out for a slider later.

Well, I am upset that I do not have the slider (no matter how goofy it looks), and the rear window apparently has to be cut out and a new window installed professionally...a big deal. My last Chevy truck was easy to swap out the solid glass for a slider...took about an hour.

Well, the next truck will for sure have a slider...I really miss the dumb thing...

Anyone know any tricks for an easy sway??? ugh!!

Neither. Both look like crap.

What, may I ask does not look like crap then?

A plain window with no ugly lines or doors inviting a break in.

You sound just like the GM guy who suggested eliminating the standard defroster form LT GM trucks.
