For some reason I am not even surprised to be let down by the General once again. Hmmm, is that the new Nissan Silverado or Chevrolet Titan. :) Either way, not good in my opinion. It is my understanding the HD’s may have different sheet metal but it may actually be a difference between GMC vs Chevy but there is a different skin floating around that doesn't look this bad.

Whelp, fuglier than expected. Way to screw up even more GM. Hopefully the GMC's won't be so hideous.

I hope they offer a colormatched version like the SUVs. That chrome looks terrible. The hood seem looks like crap too. :)

The rest of the truck looks good, just not the Titan frontend.

I am very dissappointed.

I love SUVs but not this. The grill looks unfinished and just plain. :D

I agree, The chrome grill is reminiscent of the new Ford Fusion and Explorers. The rest of the body looks like an over sized Colorado. I was really expecting more from a company that's trying to make a rebound.

The truck also looks like an extended cab, but it has four regular doors. I could be a GM designer: A dabble of dodge doors, a flick of ford grille and a heaping helping of colorado. :):chevy:

The lines don't flow to me. Look at the 88-99 C/K and the 99-02 Silverados, nice lines. The front and rear fenders are fine on their own and the doors/cab are fine on their own; but together they don't work together imo. They still have the dinky training wheels that don't fit the body size. The front bumper looks even lower to the ground. GM seems to be determined to put the ugly XM/Onstar atenna in plain view and off center. Either center the d**n antenna, or spend the 20 cents in wire to move it to the rear of the cab roof. I guess I am just hoping for a less busy, cleaner looking truck. So, IMO, this truck is the ugly bastard child of a current Silverado and Nissan Titan. Just not my cup of tea.

They need to offer a full chrome front bumper,I think that would look better than the half-paint/half-chrome bumper.

I think they have the hood "poped" open,Thats why the hood seem looks bad.

(You can really tell if you enlarge the photo)

And why, why, why does GM have to have the front-end of the Z71 4x4 trucks sit so d@#m low to the ground :)

I am dumbfounded.................... Talk about "Screwing the Pooch" Did the Silverado go out drunk one night and knock up a Titan and this is the offspring? I am SOOOOOOOO Happy I bought an 05 and NOT an 08! I can only hope they don't screw up the styling on the GMC. If they had put a Tahoe front end on it like they should have that would of been a knockout. Well on an upnote at least it has nicer rims!

Talk about disappointing, what happened to the fenderwells? Are the gmc trucks going to look any better?

I LIKE IT!

If you look close it looks like the lowest part of the front bumper, the black part/chin spoiler, is removable like current trucks, but on the new truck depending on what part is what, it might look OK on or off. On the current trucks it looks goofy with it off. If that center section goes with it, then it too will look weird.

If anything it could use taller bed sides. Cause the bed looks dinky compared to the rest of the truck. I don't like the bed in general. The rest is good.

I uploaded the large sized pics to my photobucket account for your viewing pleasure...

I don't care for the large emblem in the back. Looks too much like the F-150's and the tailights are almost replicas of the Dodge design.

The fenders give it an aggressive look. The bumpers should have been all chrome and not that sectioned painted thing they got. The wheel/tire combo look too small. Head lights may take a little to get used too. I do like the grill and hood.

Now the fenders may look ok with a decent wheel/tire size. But a 2wd is going to look ugly with those.

Is it possible that the fenders are a Z71 only thing. Other spyshots dont show bulges there.

    • I am having similar issues.. 08, 4.8L granted I did had a fender bender and minor damage up front passenger side but I don’t think it had anything to do with it.. I had the high and low pressure checked and my fan for my radiator keeps coming on.. replaced the pressure switch and don’t want to keep throwing parts at it. I did have some minor problems here and there like on long road trips sometimes the ac would get a little warm and then on the highway as soon as I give it a little gas or get a little heavier on the petal it started running cooler. Never had an issue with the ac besides the here and there.. but I also started having issues when I fuel up now it takes a bit to start ( super embarrassing) it runs fine and once started ( only happens after fueling up) starts fine any other time. Could they be related?
    • Spent a small fortune on fuel this weekend.   $6.69 diesel, 18 gallons of that. $6.99 92-octane ethanol free, 10 gallons of that for yard machines $5.59 87-octane for one of the cars, 11 gallons.   $250+ and I didn't even get a tug.   Hormuz ain't Hormuzin again, did not see that coming...LOL
    • Appreciate the advice. I've watched multiple videos. Most showing the most complex for those that have a center console, to one that showed maybe 2 pieces of trim being removed, like 6 screws, pulling back the screen and switch assembly, and installing the inline module. And this was a new/newer Silverado. That didn't look too bad. All the others show alot of trim pieces that need to be removed. I've broken those kind of tabs/clips on my C8 Corvette trying to get to the battery, and that was a lot less clips than what I think is involved here after watching multiple videos and looking at my dash today. I have one on the way. Called a reputable stereo place about installing it and got a "minimum" price of $175. Ouch! Looking forward to seeing what the instructions have to say.
    • Hard to say what the issue might be. Anything from the ability to cool the AC condenser up front, to blend door issues in the HVAC unit, to refrigerant charge, to compressor issues or issues in the lines.   Report back what the techs find on the 29th.   GM has service publications which list acceptable vent temperatures and AC pressures at given ambient temps and humidity. They probably won't touch the system if it's operating within those ranges.   I'm also surprised to hear your 2024 with the L8T is still using R134a? I was pretty sure the HD's had switched to the new refrigerant around 2020.
